Once you start developing games regardless design/art/programming, the possibility of playing games like you did when you were a kid are gone.
I can't help but stare at the textures of 3D models, and the way they are made and optimized. Sometimes the games are so well made, that you can't figure out how they do things, but occasionally you see a familiar technique and you know you're in the right track in developing games.
Wonder how everyone else feels when they play a game.
